All our faculty members have classroom teaching experience as well as specialized training in our online learning platform to ensure that all students receive the highest-quality education and learning support. Alcohol and Drug Counseling
Alcohol and Drug Counseling is a career field that integrates the knowledge and expertise of many different addiction and behavioral areas. In this program, our combined faculty members hold job titles such as Registered Addiction Specialist, Substance Misuse Practitioner, Transpersonal Psychologist, Outpatient and Residential Addiction Counselor, State Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Case Manager, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and more.

Sharon Burnom, MA, MBA
Instructor, Alcohol and Drug Counseling programs
Sharon Burnom holds a bachelor’s degree in business management, a master’s degree in organizational management, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She works as a Clinical Supervisor in a methadone clinic and facilitates groups for a DUI (driving under the influence) school. Ms. Burnom is certified as a Registered Addiction Specialist through the Breining Institute, and has been working in the substance abuse field for 18 years. Ms. Burnom’s professional experience also includes work in the areas of residential and outpatient treatment, drug court, women and children, prison programs, mental health, and domestic violence.

Computerized Accounting
The field of business management is often combined with accounting and finance, and professionals working in these areas should have a solid understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, account ledgers, tax preparation and client billing. Galina Kolomey, MA
Instructor, Computerized Accounting program
Galina Kolomey holds master’s degrees in Physics and Education from Kharkov State University of Ukraine (in the former Soviet Union). Ms. Kolomey also is certified in income tax preparation and has over 20 years of experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping in several positions she held at large corporations. Ms. Kolomey also has worked as an independent consultant, providing accounting services for a variety of clients in the construction, legal, childcare, and retail fields.
Forensic Scientist
Forensic Science is a career field that integrates crime scene investigation skills with knowledge of law enforcement and investigative procedures, theories of criminal justice, and laboratory science and scientific analysis. In this program, our combined faculty members hold job titles such as Detective, Police Officer, Crime Scene Investigator, Senior Field Training Officer, and Public Defender Investigator, among others.

Lisa Jackson, MBA
Instructor, Forensic Scientist program
Lisa Jackson is a Forensic Supervisor for the Forensic Investigations Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department. In her 12 years as a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI), Ms. Jackson investigated more than 2,000 major crime scenes. She processed some of the most complex crime scene evidence, such as latent prints, hairs, fibers, impression patterns and DNA. Ms. Jackson has experience in crime scene photography and videotaping, chemical processing and automated fingerprint identification systems. She has also served as an expert witness on friction skin analysis and crime scene processing. Ms. Jackson holds an MBA in general management from Touro College, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles.

Medical Office Management
Managing offices and business operations for the healthcare and medical fields require skills in business office procedures, functions and organization, as well as a solid understanding of the medical industry and what is required for medical facilities to function efficiently. In this program, our combined faculty members hold job titles such as Director of Patient Care, Director of Hospital-Wide Education, Healthcare Administrator, Clinical Staff Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Medical Billing Coordinator, Business Consultant to Healthcare Organizations, and more.

Alaisen Reed, D. Ed., MHA, MBA
Instructor, Healthcare Management program
Dr. Alaisen Reed is a healthcare and business administration research academician. For 15 years she worked as a healthcare administrator, overseeing the human resources management teams at residential care facilities. Since 2004, she has been a business consultant to healthcare organizations. Additionally, Dr. Reed has been an educator for more than 15 years, during which time she also served as Dean of a community adult school. She holds a doctorate in education degree, a master’s degree in health administration, a master’s degree in business administration, and a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management.

Homeland Security and Investigation
With increasing threats to security in the U.S. and abroad, there is a growing awareness that trained security and investigation professionals are needed to guard the safety of citizens in numerous environments. ICDC College instructors for these programs provide highly specialized training and skills in multiple areas that can be applied in many environments where safety is of the utmost concern. Our combined faculty members hold job titles such as Agent for the FBI, CIA or FTA, Federal Reserve Officer, Foreign Service Officer, Police Chief, Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer, Security Manager, Criminal Investigator, Retired Military Officer, Federal Police Academy Instructor, International Security Advisor in Iraq, and more.

Jeff Christiansen, MA, MBA
Instructor, Homeland Security programs
Jeff Christiansen was a career Army Military Police Officer, retiring at the rank of Full Colonel. Col. Christiansen held a variety of military police positions, providing direction, support and oversight to security and investigation operations. He has extensive experience directing criminal investigations, including felony investigation, and was the Provost Martial (Chief of Police) in Korea for two years. Col. Christiansen has a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National Defense University in Washington, DC, and a master’s in business management and supervision from Central Michigan University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University.
Pharmacy Technician

Bruce Figoten, DC
Instructor, Pharmacy Technician program
Bruce Figoten is licensed as a Clinical Pharmacist in California and Nevada. Mr. Figoten earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology at California State University – Northridge (CSUN), before earning his professional degree in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Arizona Pharmacy School. Mr. Figoten has worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He later served as Director of Pharmacy Services at Sherman Oaks Community Hospital. During his career in pharmacy, Mr. Figoten pursued additional training in the healthcare field, graduating from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He was a practicing chiropractor for 22 years, and earned additional licensing and professional certifications in that specialization, including memberships in the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and Independent Medical Examiner for the State of California, among others. Mr. Figoten transitioned to his career as an instructor of pharmacy technology seven years ago.

Roger Licup, BS
Instructor, Graphic Design and Web Development program
Roger Licup holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and has formal training in Graphic and Web Development. Mr. Licup is the Founder and chief executive officer of Spiralmode Design Studio in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Licup has worked as a graphic developer, 3D animator, programmer and designer in the graphic design industry for nearly eight years. He has combined talents and experience in developing user experience and usability for Flash, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and jQuery. He also provides branding and identity services for aggressive start-ups as well as established companies who are advancing their web presence. Mr. Licup has been involved in developing some of the most influential design networks in the industry.
